DAHLIA TUBER ORDERING & FULFILLMENT FAQ

Please read ALL of the information below before you order.


We pride ourselves in offering high-quality tubers, grown at our farm in Western, NY. We do not sell any imported dahlia tubers. Our dahlias are regularly scouted for disease and viruses, and we take utmost care in labeling our dahlia varieties properly. Take comfort in knowing that your dahlias are coming from a farm that prioritizes these tubers and your success in growing them.

SALES TAX

All NYS residents will be charged their local sales tax rate.

ORDERING

Our online store is set up as “first-checked-out, first-served.” We typically experience extremely high volume during the first few hours of our tuber sales, and items may sell out within minutes. As items sell out quickly, they may disappear from your cart without notice. If an item is in your cart, someone can check out and purchase this tuber before you. Having an item in your cart DOES NOT reserve it (we can’t control this part). If an item sells out before you check out, even if it is in your cart, you will not be able to purchase this item.

Tips: If you are paying by Apple Pay, have your account set up and logged in before you order for the fastest checkout. If you are paying via credit card, have your device set up for autofill. Making an account on our website will help ensure a speedy checkout.
Option: If you have your heart set on a specific variety, purchase that immediately and then go back to order others; even if this means paying to ship twice.

Once an order is placed, we cannot modify ir cancel orders. If you want any additional items not included in your original order, please place a new order. We are unable to combine shipping and reduce charges on separately placed orders. We are unable to offer returns or refunds once purchased unless there is an issue with your Flowerwell Dahlia tubers.

All tubers are sold as single tubers - not in clumps. Tuber size varies depending on the variety. Every Dahlia produces a different-sized tuber. We work very hard to make sure that we are only sending out Dahlia tubers that we feel confident about. Please remember that is this a product of nature and perfection isn’t always achievable. There may be some wrinkling, the tuber may be on the smaller side, but we wouldn’t send it out if we didn’t feel confident it could grow. Does human error happen? Yes. But we try our very best to make sure you are getting the best we have.

Please make sure you enter the correct mailing address AND email address at checkout. You will receive an automated email confirmation once your order is placed as well as an automated shipping notification with tracking information once your order(s) is shipped. Check your junk mail/SPAM/Gmail Promotions tab before emailing us for a missing confirmation email. We are not responsible for orders that are shipped to the wrong address.

LIMITS

We are limiting certain varieties to ensure more people can grow some of the rarer dahlias! Please respect these limits, if you order more than a specified limit your entire order will be canceled and refunded.

SHIPPING

Shipping cost is dependent on how many tubers you order- see below. Upon checkout, you will be prompted to select whether you want late March or April shipping. We cannot guarantee what date specifically that month your tubers will be shipped, only that they will be shipped in the month you select. Early shipping (late March) is buyers’ risk, so please choose accordingly. IF you accidentally choose two different months for shipping we will pick one for you or you can e-mail us at hello@flowerwellny.com.
We cannot combine shipping on orders. We cannot ship orders early.

Dahlia Tubers are shipped through USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Local pick-up is not available as we do not have a retail location. Shipping is only available within the United States.

FLOWERWELL GUARANTEE

All of our tubers are grown at our farm with utmost care and attention. We do our best to make sure varieties are viable upon delivery, labeled correctly, and free of disease & virus. If an issue arises, please contact us at hello@flowerwellny.com with photos.

We cannot be held liable for extreme growing conditions, neglect, or pest damage. We are not liable for tuber care once your order is received/ delivered. To receive a refund, customers must have followed all our planting guidelines.

Problems must be reported by August 1 of the year they were ordered. This guarantee is limited to the purchase price of tubers only and does not include shipping fees, liability or damages from losses resulting from crop failure. Reselling tubers originally purchased from Flowerwell voids all guarantees on the tubers.

DAHLIA TUBER CARE (PRE-PLANTING)

Store your dahlia tubers in a cool area (that will not freeze) until you are ready to plant. Recommended storage temps are 45-50 degrees Fahrenheit. To prevent your tubers from drying out, pack them in bags or tubs with vermiculite (they should be fully covered). Shriveling can occur if you do not store your tubers properly once received. Flowerwell is not liable for tuber care once your order is received.

VARIETY SHORTAGE

Because there is some unpredictability in working with Mother Nature, it occasionally happens that we cannot send a variety that was ordered. We work hard to ensure this does not happen, but if it does, customers who agree to a replacement will receive a plant of the same or greater value. Customers who did not agree to a replacement will receive a refund for that plant.

DISCLAIMER

There is always risk when buying plants and Flowerwell LLC is not responsible for any monetary compensation beyond a refund for the purchased tuber or plant.  Choices made by growers and costs incurred, such as testing, pest management regimes, culling, etc. are solely the responsibility of the grower.

PHOTO & CONTENT USE

Flowerwell LLC retains the legal copyright and ownership of ALL images and website content. It is illegal to crop, modify, scan, and reproduce artwork in any manner without our written permission. Federal copyright law protects the copyright of these images. When using images on any social media sites, proper credits with linkbacks must be included on every image.
