Cut Flower ABCs- In this class we will explore varieties of cut flowers through the alphabet. This will be an introduction to varieties that you may grow with your cut flower plants that we provide to you. It will be a learning-intensive class that discusses varieties, plant care tips, sourcing, and growing specific varieties.

Grow your Own Cut Flower Garden- Just as it sounds, this class will go in-depth about how to plan and grow your own Cut flower garden. This class will cover gardening tools and equipment, garden preparation, raised beds, community gardens, site location, spacing, pinching, weed maintenance, and harvesting. I share with you all the ‘golden nuggets’ I’ve learned over the years, in the hope of saving you some mistakes and making this new adventure a fun one! A friendly reminder that in May we provide you with 48 baby plant plugs to start your own garden.

Learn How to Grow Dahlias- Students will be taken step-by-step through the Dahlia planting process, learning about unique heirloom varieties, tuber sourcing, soil, fertilization, planting, support, cutting, winter care, and splitting. As part of this class, students will receive two Dahlia Tubers to begin their Dahlia-growing journey.
Plant pick-up will be held Friday, May 22rd, 4 pm-6 pm & Saturday, May 23th, 9 am- Noon. Self-serve pick-up will also be available on Tuesday, May 26th and Wednesday, May 27th anytime. Pick-up will be from our studio in Brockport, NY. More information will be emailed closer to the pick-up dates.
PARKING: The Annex Event Space The Annex is located at 1255 University Ave, Suite C115. It's down the hall from Living Roots, near the shared bathrooms. Guests can enter through the front where Living Roots is located or from Sager Drive towards the center of the building. There is a large, double door with signage for all the building tenants. Parking is the same as Kin Event Space. It's easiest to park on Sager Dr. or nearby.
WHAT TO EXPECT: These gardening classes are lecture-style with some demonstrations. Notetaking is encouraged. Summaries of each class will be provided digitally.
TERMS: Tickets are non-refundable. If there is a class that your are unable to attend, you may attend another session (note that this is only available for the Cut Flower Garden Class & the Learn to Grow Dahlias Class).
